Sagittarians are the intellectual type. It’s easy for them to learn about new things. Thus, they can get bored easily. They’re the adventurous people who are not afraid of taking risks. It won’t be a surprise for this person to switch jobs everytime they see fit (meaning when they get tired of the what they’re doing which can happen all the time or until they find the perfect job for them). The archer is known to aim for high goals but no matter how much they make or how high the position is, if they feel they’re getting caged in they will look for something else. Below is a brief explanation and tips of what you can do If you’re a Sagittarian and are unhappy of your current career (or finding it hard to figure out what your next career move is) or if you work with a Sagittarian and would like to improve your work relations with him/her.
Figure out what you are good at and what you love doing.
Because a Sagittarian has a lot of interests they also have a lot of big ideas and they are very optimistic about these. They won’t mind investing all the time and resources they have for a certain project. A lot of Sagittarians are entreprenuers so they get into their own businesses and most of them succeed on this. Having a good grasp of the bigger picture might also help them be good managers. They see the big picture and then share it with the team so they can work on it. It won’t be hard as Sagittarians are natural born teachers. They are good at interacting with people and they have the patience to explain their ideas to them. That being said, Sagittarians can also be teachers and writers. The archer loves challenges. He wouldn’t mind a bit of pressure (as a matter of fact, he is good under pressure) because he likes finishing things he already started. He is very active and also love the out-doors so a career in sports, travel or tourism might be suitable.
To sum that up, the more active Sagittarians lean on sports and traveling/tourism, where they can meet people and move around a lot. On the other hand, the more intellectual types can go for more intellectual professions as trading, law and business.
Sagittarians as a boss.
Generally, Sagittarian bosses are easy to get along with. They are very generous when giving bonuses or a raise specially with employees who they know are working well. They can also be generous with time or deadlines and are very reasonable … most of the times. So if you’re having a hard time keeping up with the deadline he might just cut you some slack provided you have acceptable reasons. One bad side about a Sagittarian boss is that he can be stubborn and change his mind a lot. Specially when he gets one of his big ideas.
Sagittarians as an employee.
Sagittarians love being with people and working with people. He’s a very good team player. Being always happy and optimistic he will serve as an inspiration or a morale booster for his fellow employees.
Some of the careers or prefessional fields that a Sagittarian could consider are: Entrepreneur, Teacher/Professor, Lawyer, Sales and Marketing, Writer/Journalist, Public Relations, Trader, Sports Instructor, Athlete, Travel Agent, Tourism related fields.

I am a nursing student too, but I am not sure if it is right for me. I love to travel and probably do a travel nurse, For a fact, I am for sure that nursing is not for me. I am not happy about it but I have to do it because for now I am forced in to taking it now. But, I really do prefer travelling though.

I’m in corporate banking right now and also find it extremely boring! I hate being stuck in an office, sitting at a computer day in and day out, doing the same thing. Now I’m headed for a career change to nursing. Looks like nursing appeals to us sags!

I’m a Sag, and I’m going to school to be a court reporter. I really like it because if expands my mind in vocabulary as well as law.
It is so true that we get bored fast. I was in hotel management for 12 years and got tied of the same old thing. There is only so much you can learn in the hotel business.

I am a sag, been helping my hubbys design business for 20 years, last 10 of which I also ran my own tour company doing small group tours to Scotland and Ireland which I loved but it is too volatile an industry, with Volcanic Ash, 9/11, foot and mouth, the economy…. plane crashes, what next… Love it but don’t make money at it and that sucks… SO I was about to go to Nursing School but just landed in the Hospital of which I hope I am getting out of tomorrow… and know that it is NOT the job for me!!!!! I really couldn’t deal with the long hours BUT I would be fine with the job and the patients, it’s the other nurses and such I don’t think I could deal with… but then I am 51 so I am sure that makes a difference.. plus there is a smell in here I just cannot stand!!!!!! Good luck girls I am on the look again!!!

I have changed my major so many times it’s ridiculous. However in the back of my mind I have always wanted to be a lawyer, but the toughness of law school always kept me away from it. A month ago I decided to go and try to get into law school. I LOVE law and I think that it’s a great career choice, as it is something that will always keep me busy and learning.

I’ve found it difficult trying to find the right job for me, I’ve had office jobs which I hated. I think after reading the article I can certainly agree with what’s been said about sag’s. I like a sense of freedom, at the moment I’m starting my new job next week in marketing.

I’m a sag mom and my youngest has gone off to school. I am finding that I’m driven to do something else, something more. My hubby wants me to come work with him (we own a compute repair business) but it sounds so boring to me. I know that if I wanted to I could get really into it and make the business grow even more than it has right now. But… travel sounds so much more interesting. There has to be a way to make them both work right? How does one go about getting into travel anyhow? Guess it’s time to start reading up. LOL
Opinions?

Well I think I will focus on trying to do more with the spiritual studies. I have grown more in that realm, and feel like taking some time to write books and grow by taking some courses in Theology. This is the time of year where I always begin to feel claustraphobic-sp. DJing is out, still an FA though…but it is very boring at times. The idea of psychology is appealing…I love that stuff.

I just want to tell you all how wonderful you all are. Reading the responses to this article made me giggle. We Sagittarii are so alike it gave me the chills followed by a warm fuzzy feeling… Life is hard, and we are super hard on ourselves. Sure we may change our minds alot, but hey at least we have the courage to keep trying new things until we get it right!

I’m a Sag too! And like everyone else here being a Saggy, we get bored easily. I took up law school because it was excited and challenging and at that time I thought it was the most difficult job ever, and to pass the bar exam would be a boost to my ego. After one take, I did pass the bar but I got bored working as a lawyer. I changed career and worked as an investigator and here I am after 3 years, I am bored to death again. I wish I was a Taurus, patient and steady, but am not! I don’t know what to do now. I’ve been applying for a job in an international level so that I can travel and have a fast-paced life, but I’m still waiting for a job offer… In my head, if no opportunity comes up, I’ll enroll and be a fashion designer..

I’m a sag and I turn 26 on December 6. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and I can’t find a job in marketing, but I worked in the library at my school and I love it! Even though it wasn’t really a real job, I find it quite interesting. I think I’m going to change my career from a unemployed marketer to a employed librarian and read books all day and help others learn about the world around them.

I’m a Saggy and I’m 37. I’m looking for a new Job. I currently run a performing arts college and people I have to say it is the perfect job. It has everything us saggys want. It has everything as the job changes daily.
But due to the economic crisis the budget been cut the college is closing and I have to go… I’m quite a bright cookie and hate being tied down. It’s bad enough being restrained by two kids (Got rid of the husband.. He was boring) let alone a bad job too. Any suggestions.

I am middle aged and believe me….figuring out what i wanted to do was a REAL NIGHTMARE! But, i finally decided to be a hair stylist. I loved playing w/my mom’s wigs when I was a small child but taking direction and being disapplined was really difficult. I had my own salon for years after deciding I couldn’t put up w/ other people’s BS games. I got married at 45 and decided I wanted something new… (he’s in aviation so he moves around every few years) and I look forward to living in different areas around the country. I tried office work but I’m not a fast typer. I really miss hair and u can’t have clientelle if u don’t stay in one place long enough. My dream was to be as famous as Tabitha but stuff just had me tied down.

I guess what I want to say … look deep down inside… every one of u have a real passion for “something” just figure out what it is and go for it & be creative in how to apply it -conventional is not for us that’s for sure. Sticktoitaveness is difficult as well. what I discoved is sags love learning and we have a lot of interests…explore them all!

I am a Sag and a pharmacist! Its interesting, ever evolving and no 2 days are ever the same! Every rx is a challenge whether it is a possible drug interaction, disease contraindication or a simple allergy. For all of you considering nursing, look into pharmacy tech or pharmacist postitons. (You need formal schooling for a pharmacist job). Its a great match for this Sag!

Definitely not nursing but i have thought of it. Mayebe teaching but it might be to stationary. I feel like I need to do something else. Ive narrowed down my carrers to A)Nursing because you can work 3 days a week (12hrs/day) & spend the rest of the week going to movies/shopping/w/ur kids. or B) a teacher, because you get the summer to travel…that way i can avoid job burnout.

Hey wow it was so interesting to read all of these posts. We are all so much alike, I don’t feel so alone now! I’ve always felt so alone with all those thoughts, even if I’m heading a certain direction with career choices.. theres always a voice in my head thinking its not right, or to try this one. It was funny to see so many nursing students/potential nurses here.. because I am a nursing student at the moment.. and I’m already thinking about what I “really” want to pursue. I love writing, but everything takes so much time and im nervous if i enrol later on by the time 4 years of schooling rolls by i’ll find myself in the wrong direction!! Anyways great to hear all of these responses. My question: What are your fears when it comes to careers?

omg, reading all of your messages i must say made me laugh, giggle and distract my bf while he’s playing madden telling him how much all of us are alike. its funny to me how saggis are dead on when it comes to characteristics and likes and dislikes. i myself also get bored very easily. jus had a baby whom i love and want to make a stable career for us, ecspecially for her. but i have no idea wtf im going to do with myself. i spent all day googling and trying to research college courses and what i think id like and be possibly good at. spent an 1 on a personality test which was hard enuff trying to answer questions about myself, but in the end the results told me nothing at all that would help my desperate need for some type of clue. ive had alot of jobs. got bored and on to the next one. with a child i need more stability, right? ive also thought id wanna be a nurse. whats up with that girls? love all u saggis

WoW! this is soo weird! im 23, i have just finished my nursing course and im stuck in a big fat rut! i am constintly asking myself “do i really want to be a nurse”? and sadly nothing in me is yelling “yes”! i love sport im continplating a PE/Health teacher?! although pharmacy work interests me too! i love to travel and did try my luck as a travel agent but i could not stand sitting at a desk all day! and the people i worked with where as interesting as wet ragges!! ha this may have been the reason because us sag’s need to interact with fun interesting people or we do get bored very quickly!

I’m a freshman at a university and I have no idea why Im even here. like a flight attendant or pilot Sounds soo fun but the uncertainty and a serious relationship are holding me back. I want to be a dental hygienist but for how long? ugh sagittarius are so indecisive. I agree that I sometimes envy other signs that have way more concentration and determination but our sag minds are way too expansive and complicated for that. I’m blessed that I’ve been so lucky about not having to rely on a job. however I want to make my own income and make a name for myself. I want a job with flexible hours and definitely no office job behind a desk yuck. teaching sounds fun just because of student interaction. but grading papers and test? yuck. my major is history only because I love learning about it. hahah jeez what are we all gonna do? helppppp

Helicopter guides sound interesting too, so does flight attendant. but at this rate I’l have to take a gap year to have a “taste” of the jobs available…
Good luck all you sags and have fun changing careers, I know i will! xD

I am a SAG. My honesty is my own enemy. I just can stand liar and my nasty tongue blabbers more than others around me can digest even though it is all truth. I have changed my career thrice already in 15 years and completely started from ground Zero, got up again and sprinting. But here I am again thinking of rebooting myself again because of People, Politics, Pretenders … The only thing I like about myself is I give a good opinion and advice to everyone who seeks it from me. People do see me in good light. However when it comes to my own self I think I am an idiot. Someone whom everyone can make use of for their own benefit and very easy to get on with. haha

WOW! I didn’t know that all of us Sags have it tough.
I thought it was just me!
I’m 25 years old, finished a four year college with a Photography degree. (But it wasn’t for me), went BACK to school to gain a certificate in Pharmacy Tech (Still boring), and now I am enrolling back into school to become a translator. I hope this can satisfy me for the years to come. As for employment, I work at an animal hospital as a receptionist and its not too bad. I love seeing cute kitties and doggies everyday.
(PS: Is it just me, or are Sags constantly going back to school or to some sort of educational program to learn new things? lol!)

I’m Sag 27 Reading this made me smile : ) Yup!!! I know that feeling of not knowing what to do with my career. I know for a fact I love helping people. I like to keep busy. I do get bored easy. I was thinking of Nursing myself found out that I cannot stand watching people hurt or even worse bleed. I do love History. All I know is that I know after reading this I don’t feel like their something wrong with me. I know eventually I will find the career I’ve been looking for. Thanks Guys!!!!!

It is so great to be among fellow Sagittarians who are like me. I sure thought the boredom of a job was a personal issue. Good to know its how a Sagittarian is supposed to be

Hi all, im so amazed that a lot of people here think just like me. its so nice to know that we are the same as Saggs. i studied in the US as electrical Eng then changed to mech Eng but didn’t finish cuz its so boring, later i joined air traffic control and also changed it to banking. 2 years in banking was crazy. i found that i cant stay in one place. i like to help people and had a chance to work in laboratories and i find it so interesting. but as one said we need to make our own business cuz we never know when we get bored while life goes fast.

Im 33 and have a degree in Culinary arts, Fitness Instructor, Associates in Accounting and Still do not know what the heck I want! I feel like deep down inside we have the realization that life is kind of absurd and thus, to stick to any thing is silly to begin with? I don’t know…Im usually an optimist but Im beginning to feel hopeless!I also feel like I tend to make my self appear as not serious enough which affects my self esteem..! oh god, Saggis have it the worst! LOL

I am dying reading some of ya’lls comments. Wow is it totally like looking into a mirror!. I think what it is about us Sag’s(december 4th my birthday) We are all over the damn place. We can be life of the party but also can be quick to write someone off who takes advantage of our good neighbor. I find myself able to be friends with people any other sign would probably murder. I tolerate alot. I know I tent to be THE FIXER type. I told a friend a few weeks ago that the thing about me is that I hate “dumb shit”. You know stuff that happens and can be avoided. I hate people who say they have bad luck. I think you are the ruler or your destiny and if you dont take a hold and handle it then you cant say anything when someone else DOES!.. I totally think I wear my heart of my sleeve. I do hate when I feel like someone is taking me for granted. What kills me is when you get in that mood (sag’s you know the mood I referring to) and you step out your zone and tell a friend they are totally taking advantage of your good nature. They seem to flip out and act like “Im not doing that..your just parinoid”. I hate that when we are honest about our feelings and that other person plays that “Im not using you role”. Uggh I drop them and then why is it we feel bad. They arent thinking twice about how they treated us. How does a Sag’s just “press on”. Thats my question of the day. I love hard. And when Im done I am DONE!! haha we are too much yep………… I like to think we are creative. I mean as for me. Jay-Z, Tyra Banks, Marissa Tomei are born on my birthday. I know I am destined to be BIG but am also sort of afraid. HELP!!…lol

Hello my sags. I have the opportunity to have a friend who is born on the same day I am. When we are together it is like being with someone I can finally relate too. Now, after reading your comments, I know it is the sag in me. I am in a place of searching for a new career path. I have a degree in business, a surgical tech licenses, has worked as a merchandise assistant in retail, worked in banking, assisted a friend in writing a poetry book, and have been a purchasing agent for a school district. At first it all starts out fine until I learn my job then I am bored all over again. I am suppose to start teaching in the fall, opening a tax business in the spring, and starting my online boutique as well. But something in me just tells me that I would be repeating this same career change soon. Sometimes I feel like I am a jack of all and a master of none. I just want to be satistifed but I just dont know what it is that would make me happy. Anything you guys find enjoyment in, please let me know.

WOW!!! This is crazy how much we Sags are alike! I am currently 19 years old and just finished my finished my first year at a university. And the entire time, I had no idea why I was there. Nothing kept my interest. I probably changed my major about 20 times in just my first year of college alone. Now I am taking a year off of college and going to Cosmetology school. I want to be my own boss, and I don’t think I can do that with any degree from a university. And I’m sure that after a few years of doing hair, I’ll probably want to go back to school and study something else. I used to think there was something wrong with me because I can’t stick with a decision. But like everyone else has said, this is just how Sags are. And I absolutely LOVE being a Sag! No other sign is as bold, fearless and optimistic as we are!!! =)

Hello fellow sags. I am 22 and have the majority of the same issues as everyone else. I CANT MAKE UP MY FREAKING MIND!!! I started off studying accounting in college…took a random survey and got a call from a culinary school then BAM I wanted to be a pastry chef/cake decorator. Took cake decorating classes…loved it….So I completed the health information technology program to finish what i started at the first school so i could go to culinary school…I paid 50K for an associates in baking and pastry to not be able to find a freaking job.not even at giant eagle…that and conformity and coorporate kills me. Like everyone else…constantly bored…but i dont get along with others well…the few people that do decide to be my friend end up using me…great….but i am no the most optimistic and change my mind every 5 seconds…i want to see the world…but not behind a suitcase or a counter…Im lost…have no money to go back to school…and at a dead end…tried to start my own business but it is failing epically….Can anyone help?????

My birthday is December 4 as well and I am just like Nina. I went in for nursing and realized that was not for me and then I went in for Business, but said no. Now I have been looking at Law since I was 7 and now I feel pleased with my decision. I looked into law schools and this seems like something I can do forever. So basically if you like to research and learn and meet people, try law.

Nina, Nina, Nina, I do believe we are sisters. OMG! I do relate to all of the Sag’s in at least one way or another. I’ve had, and continue to have, a very difficult time choosing a career. Perhaps that’s the problem, narrowing down all of the career choices in the world to just one that must be kept until I can work no more. Or maybe it’s just the dreadful thought of working for someone else until I can work no more, which makes me believe I should be an entrepreneur. After switching my major four times, I finally graduated from college last year. After that, I worked a year at a dead end, unorganized, run in a state of constant panic job. I still haven’t figured out what I want to do. Anyway, Nina, I too hate dumb shit and tend to go off when I believe either I or someone close to me is being taken advantage of, which makes me believe I should be a lawyer because then I would be able to defend innocent people. On the other hand, what if I get stuck defending an asshole I know isn’t worthy of getting off? OMG, do you all see that? That’s usually how my thinking process worksout when thinking of a career. Somebody, help me, please!

Not everyone learns at the same pace. Carrers are hard to find. Nowadays articles tell us the best 2 yr degrees are medical assisting, paralegal and computer science. But thats not for everybody. I know its not for me. Im going to try my best not to BS you all. Im 29 and dont have anything going on. I have a wife and kid. I was thinking about becoming a Pharmacy tech. It doesnt pay much, but it feels so boring. Now i thinking about Computer aided drafting or fixing cars. LoL sorry i know this doesnt help anyones post or answer their questions. Just sharing my life experience with you good people

Hey saggi’s I was wondering if any of you are suffering with control issues i.e. Coming across as too controlling or demanding. Also how to avoid saying things in the heat of the moment. Having hard time with colleagues misunderstanding me. It’s not personal and they tend to take it too heart.

I’m probably the only teen here so far… Well, my Math teacher had us write a paper on what we wanted to major in and honestly? I had no idea. I’ve always love writing and reading, so I decided I wanted to be a librarian while working on a novel in my free time, or possibly taking on an after-school job helping at the local Opera House. It sound like just the right amout of creativity for me
I’m thinking the reason why so many of you dont like being nurses is because, even though you enjoy helping people, you probably enjoy a more active role when helping, am I right?

From what I’m seeing, so many of you are at a dead end…Well, try browsing around a bit before going to college too make sure you’ve chosen a career you like doing; multitask if you will- just use your time wisely. Is it possible to change my mind AGAIN? I’m thinking I want to be a Guidance Counselor- y’know, because I love solving problems….Nah, librarian/author’s cool….

OMG! I am 49 (but hey I look late 30′s!) and I can’t believe what I have been reading, I honestly thought I was the only one, Iam born Dec 5th, I have always wanted to be a lawyer and I LOOOOOOVE travelling but never travelled
Iam with a scorpio who likes routine yuck hate that, I love to be spontaneous do what I want when I want no actual plans just go with the flow if you know what I mean. Now back tothe question of occupations, I don’t have a bloody clue, I have completed sooo many vocational assessments still nothing, I have even read the passion test but still fall short of really deciding what it is that I like doing. I know when I was young I loved horses and still do, I love to play tennis but haven’t since my school days, I would love to act but I think iam too old, i need work now can’t afford to go and study for too long, and I like to be a comedian but once again don’t know if the money is really there. I hate rigid 9 to 5 office jobs, I hate people watching the clock when I walk in the door telling me what time i can take my lunch break and what time I have to be back etc etc etc someone out there please tell us what you are currently working in that you are TOTALLY enjoying pleassssssssssssseeeee

Dead on. I’m 24 and I failed nursing 3 different times simply because I wasn’t interested. I pursued and received an associates in education but after having the thrill of being with children has expired I went on to learn health information management cause it reaches out to so many skill sets. Reading all of these posts is like honestly looking in a mirror. I am qualified to sit for the real estate exam and have a secret savings fund for helicopter lessons. I am currently an EMT and encourage you guys to at least try it- it takes me all over the state and you meet different people and personality types and sometimes it’s boring but with alot of luck you will see something different, or go somewhere different within at least a few weeks. I am getting bored of it though, lol, and as I’m in school for HIM- I’m going to take this real estate exam. I would really like to connect with all of you- from what I am reading I am sure you will find a friend in me and would love to connect with people who are experiencing life like I am. Sooooo….if you read my post from a few months ago, you won’t be surprised that I quit Cosmetology School lol. Just didn’t feel fulfilled. I also quit my waitressing job the other day because I hated being told what to do by some idiot manager lol. Definitely a Sag move. Anywho, I was feeling a little lost, hopeless and depressed for a little while. But now, the optimism is back. I’ve decided to give culinary arts a chance. I’m going to take a few pastry cooking classes, try to start up my own business, and eventually open up a cafe downtown! I know, VERY idealistic. But then again, you’re talking about a true Sag here =) I’ll let ya’ll know how it goes!

I see myself a “true Sag” just as well, however I’m personally not really a big risk taker. I’ve always been very cautious and too over thinking to make rash decisions and to change careers like so many other Sags have. I’m 19 and haven’t even started college yet but still don’t know what to do with my life. So I don’t have much experience in even knowing whether I would get bored very easily. I’m thinking maybe psychologist, nursing (yeah, nursing again), or anything health related. I actually have no idea. Not even of what I COULD do… You know what I’d actually love to do is work at Disney World!

Glad I was able to read comments before going back to school. We have a passion and thats what we go for, not what we think. Sit steal for a bit, see what ur heart lays than go. When our heart and gut tells us, thats when we move. Research, find the pros n cons but more cons cause thats why we change. Dont give up, but listen to ur gut, we have that part good. Stay focused. SOOO GLAD IT’S NOT JUST ME! You guys give me hope that I’m not the only one. So hard to choose what to do. I was going to be a lawyer, but then I said, well that’s too boring, went to a job where I was told what to do minute by minute. Hated that. So maybe acting works, no…musician, that sounds about right. Well, actually maybe it’s just the right kind of lawyer I need to be. But then teaching sounds good too! Anyway to do both? Ok, now I’m in my 30s so it’s time to make a decision. Oy!!!

I am a 34 year old about to be 35 on the 30th of
November. I have been married to a sweet man for 16 years and have three beautiful children. I have been everything from a teacher, a human resource generalist, an accountant, a buyer, and now a nurse. I am also working on my BSN with a minor in psychology. I love nursing, but I am wondering if nursing is going to be my career for the remainder of my life. I find myself getting bored at the beginning of each year. I honestly don’t know how my Pisces husband even manages to deal with me. Being a Sagg is a never ending adventure, but I am grateful that I am wonderfully made!

I’m a sag too and just landed a job as a flight attendant after many years of trying to find a career that didn’t suck!! Office work… BORING!! It’s really awesome getting to travel, meet and help people, and doing the demo
haha! Although I work for a large corporation I still have tons of freedom, stability, and no manager breathing down my neck. It’s great!! Although I find my brain looking for something new to learn all the time. I get bored easily! Can anyone relate?

i hate to be redundant, but after reading yall’s comments, it actually made me feel better about what i had been feeling for the past couple of years.
I’m 29, and am an energy trade analyst. at first the job was new and exciting to me, but after a couple of years, i’ve gotten a little bored of it. initially, i wanted to continue to climb to corporate latter and eventually become a energy trader, but even now im having doubts about it. yea the money will be great, but again im afraid ill get bored of it as well. i really need to sit down and have a aggressive conversation with myself and my career path.
again thanks everyone for posting, this really did make my day =)

LOL. It’s amusing, really, we sagittarians are almost alike.
Btw, my name’s Kira and i’m a student. I’ve a part time job as a mangaka (cartoonist). Before, I wanted to be a scientist, that was my ambition when I was a kid. But now, I really wanna be a Neurosurgeon. Medical and Science always attracts. It’s just very interesting, there’re so many amazing facts and informations.
But, deep in my mind, I’m thinking of saving enough money to travel around the world or open up a cafe. Sigh. I know I must try hard to achieve my goal, but thanks to my careless mistakes, my goal seems much more far away to grasp than before.
My new year resolution; Be a Pure Sagittarian. The successful one! Wish me luck. And I wish y’all the very good luck too.
Fujoshi
January 6th, 2012 at 4:58 pm
And I love books. Not boring ones, mind you.
I love to read novels, I can’t travel around the world, yet. So I decided to travel mentally, instead. Reading the stories. It’s like i’m lving the characters’ life.
And one more thing that I noticed is we sagittarians don’t really know how or when to control our mouth, or wit. I always said things that I know are the truth, but somehow, people around me tends to get offended when I really only want to help. So I keep telling myself to shut up, it’s their problems not mine, ignore the errors, etc. But I just can’t stop. I just have to point it out. Silly me. Uncontrollable wit? Disaster. Foolish mistakes? Disaster. Keep my mouth shut? Almost impossible. (now i’m typing nonsense. –’)
Like the quote taken from the clown (Twelfth night by Shakespeare);
“Better a witty fool than a foolish wit”

I’m 28 and a Sag and can’t figure out what I wanna do for a living. I find a new job every 6 months. I hate being told when I have to come into work. I’m an artist and tried making a living with that but I live in a small town where the people aren’t very cultured. I even danced for a while. I loved and hated it. I loved being able to work whenever I wanted to and not having someone up my butt telling me what to do, but hated taking my clothes off. I love being a Sag but sometimes its hard lol
I’m thinking about becoming a Bartender….

I’m a 37 year old mom. Now have done many things as most of you. Waitresses, nannied , Real Estate, and I’m in college now. I wanted to be a social worker, but now I’m having second thoughts. It seems that a challenge and varied are very key to the happiness of a Sagitarian. Another key element might be travel. I have a small child , so travel seems to be out.
good luck to all of you sag’s .
I read that sag’s can be passive too, so maybe that where some of the hardship lies.
Let’s remember to trust our strengths and go for it.

I am a sag and currently a nursing student i think nursing is a good field for us becuz it is interesting and you can do it until you get bored or have your license revoked. however there are so many agencies where one could work as a nurse and be alternating but if you want to keep it interesting Id probably suggest ER nursing in a big city or trauma 1 level hospital….

LOL i’m a sag, like all these comments start! I quit my job always within the 3 month starting time because i get bored, or the boss annoys me! i’m currently undertaking a nursing degree and HATING EVERY MINUTE. The idea of caring appealed to me but now i’m here the job is the most boring structured job ever. and i hate boring and i hate structure. People lie about it being a challenging, and problem solving career. Its mindless and monkeys could do it (given with a little less empathy

I am 33 and also a sag. Reading all of your responses makes me smile because I am exactly on the same boat as you all. I have 2 Bachelor degrees in Science & Engineering and currently work as an engineer in a big corporation. Money doesn’t attrace mt at all because I am already BORED at work only after working 4 years in the industry and had just changed to a different group for half year. I do agree sag folks learn things quickly and hate politics. At least it happened to me. So, now I am enrolling to school again for nursing. LOL…..

Mars in Sag and have had tons of jobs. I can’t even concentrate on what to look for anymore. I like SO much, how can I limit myself to one thing? I hate office jobs; I’ve determined that. Considered Pharmacy, teaching but don’t want to be around noisy kids all day, Love English but again Teaching.. would love to work in a Library but there aren’t any jobs in that. Loved reading all these comments!! no one else understands me and that caged feeling you get when working confined in a boring cubicle. What to do next??

What we love & go for it & if it dosnt work then start again.
Maybe we’re ment to learn & do as much as we can on

Hi, I’m a sag and I had no idea that I have been doing the things a sag likes to do. Yes, I have changed my mind and degree a few times. Right now I’m taking veterinary assistant classes and I love it. I’ve been working as a cashier for 3 years which I love my customers that come through. Now, I have been given the opportunity to work with medicine and people for the pharmacy. My fellow sags, stay positive Bc only our sign has the best intuition. If you find something that gives you that spark, please stick with it. There are many many open doors out there and sometimes it takes a positive smile and a little commitment.

I’m a legal secretary/ paralegal and I absolutely can’t stand where I’m at! I have thought about going back to school to be an elementary teacher or doing something with music instead as I do love playing/teaching piano with children. I find Law to be appealing in some areas but I can deal without the crazy amount of stress and paperwork that comes with it. I have also thought about doing something in the medical field but nothing to do with being a nurse like most of you have mentioned because I could not stomach giving someone a needle or learn about giving needles for that matter haha. I feel like my mind is all over the place and I get bored easily too. Wish I could get paid to sit my big ol butt on a white sandy beach on a Tropical Island with a drink in my hand, don’t we all. That’s a Sagittarius for ya I guess!.

Hey! I’m a sag as well! 22 years old in school, and at first did not know what I wanted to do with my life. The thought of being a businessperson such as bank investors or managers interested me but most likely wouldn’t fulfill my ultimate needs. At a point in my life I wanted to be a Social Worker because I LOVE helping people, but realized the Salary doesn’t match the time and money it takes to get that degree. The career path that I had in my head from day one was Law Enforcement or Practice Law. Law Enforcement is dangerous but I’m a risk taker so that’s right up my alley. As a Sagittarius we change our minds a lot but we REALLY know what we want to do with our lives, we just like to take a taste of so many different things before we settle down with just one. Glad to know I’m not the only one that has had indecisive woes.

I’m a sag too, have been a pharmacist for over 10 years, I only work 3 days per week and have a week off every other week to explore. I think of a good paying job as source of assurance for my “hobbies” … flying, traveling, hiking, mountain climbing… you name it. Do I value money? No!! The only value it carries is its face value and it depreciates over time. Do I need money? Yes! because of the society we live in…

I switched from corporate business to the restaurant industry. I make half as much money, I spend all day on my feet feeding the group of people I used to be a part of. I gotta say, it feels good to do services for the general public. You want to be a happy Sagittarius? Get into a service industry.

Omg! So I’m NOT crazy! lol I’m just being me! I’m 25, graduated University two years ago, unemployed and unfulfilled. I have SO many things that I want to try, and i’ve changed my mind too many times to count. Everyone around me is frustrated with my “indecisiveness,” yet I was never really bothered by it. Yeah, I’m supposed to be “settled down” or in the process of, right now, but I don’t like conforming to societal rules and norms. I want to explore all of my passions and interest–and not be bored while doing so. Is that such a bad thing, really?

I’m a Sag & current work for the government but have been thinking of going to become a Physical Therapist. I have 1 degree in Crim. Justice (was going to do law school but got discourgaged with the price and testing). So, thinking of going back and taking the required science classes and then going for my Doctorate in PT….idk, I just know I’m tired of feeling confined and following the directions of the stupid government.

I’m a sag as well! I love fashion, music, photography, makeup, about everything! But I ended up in nursing. And now I’m currently taking my masteral degree while doing some online business. I just love doing everything and sharing it with people I love. If I get depressed it means like I’m really down. But after a while, I’ll get back up and prove them my worth! Yes! Go sags!

Hey sags, yall are awesome even though we are indecisive as all get out. I went to college straight out of high school and majored in psychology, communication, business, and Spanish; made it 3 yrs only to move and my credits not transfer. Then on dead end job after the next. Did get the chance to work as a travel agent/ tour guide. LOVED it, hated the company I worked for. I always ended up being some bosses work horse (Because we are such hard workers and great multitaskers) and they never wanted to give me raises or promotions. So now I’m going back to school at 30 for a career in health wanting to learn everything from physical therapy to gerontology to personal training. Figure health is a good way to go that way when I get bored with one health field it’ll be an easy jump to the next one. Good luck all! And always go with your gut feeling, it’ll serve you well

So love being a Sagittarian!
Everything that’s posted here is true. I’m 40 something and still trying to figure it out…it doesn’t end people! LOL! My advise is just to enjoy the Sagittarius journey and write a book about it.
My next move is self employment. I’ve had enough of corporate. Learned a lot. Self employment will sure keep me on my toes and there will never be a dull moment. Stay tuned fellow Sags!

Reading all your comments makes me realize that I’m not the only Sag so confuse in deciding on a career path. I already have a diploma in tourism but from the lack of jobs in that field here where I live I’ve decided on following another career, but I think I’ll will find it boring in the end and was thinking about nursing…But I don’t know…I guess my diplomas will have to pile up and dust
…I just love my freedom!!!

I’m glad I’m not the only indecisive Sagittarius haha. I always figured I like people, I like money, and I like exciting challenges, so what the heck Ill become a salesman. Hell not just a salesman but THE salesman! A common trait that I’ve noticed about us Sag is the pain we feel when we get board and when someone tries to control us. It’s like pulling teeth, I’m getting out of that office!
I’m 27 years old and I’m trying to figure out what my true calling is. Maybe I’ll keep trying new things but if Walt Disney can be a ultra successful Sag than I’m inspired!
What I learned about me and my fellow Sagittarius:
Do what you love and dive in head first with utmost enthusiasm (until you get board lol) then move onto the next exciting adventure! I kinda feel like an old 80′s cartoon lol. “On the next exciting adventure of Sagittarius!!”

Hey, fellow Sags! For those of you still confused about your next move or your calling, how about investigating entrepreneurship? If you’re pursuing a business/passion that you love, then it’s never a dull moment, and you’re always in control. And as a Sag, those two reasons are reason enough!

WoW , we all are the same , Im happy that i see im not the only lost person , lol , you know whats the problem with our decision making for career ? i figure it out that we are capable of doing all kind of job and be good at it , but it makes us indecisive cause all the time we think we can do something better than what we do right now , some thing more exciting or more money or higher class job , these are issues we are dealing , i still can’t stick to one job cause i always have this problem , always i think mmm i can do a better job , god damn it .

Wow! Reading all of these posts has enlightened me. It’s not me, but a lot of Sagitarians that get bored with their jobs as well. I’m 37, mother of one, still a newly wed. I’ve got a BA Degree in business, worked many office jobs, they were boring BUT it paid my bills and allowed me to save and earn mileage. I used those miles – traveled half of the US states, Europe twice and Africa once. A lot of those trips were short and I stayed in budgeted hotels. I still want and plan to see three more continents, just to see the Sydney Opera House, Great Wall of China and Christ the Redeemer statue. I know I will, with time and money saved up again. I suggest find which area you are drawn to the most – teaching, nursing, owning a business, etc and go for it. I’ve been in several different fields – HR, business, etc. I’m currently writing a book on helping others, guess it’s in our nature to want to help. But to help pay bills, I think I’m going to switch from the Office Mngr job to one that’s in HR, helping people find jobs -and hopefully get my book published and write more. WE can all look back one day at our lives and say we were not boring, we truly lived it up and tried many things. Trust me, I have non-Sag friends and family members who have never really traveled or took a risk. So, don’t beat yourselves up too much. Young people, keep your college degree not so specific and try different things. The advantage you have, is TIME. You can change a degree later if you don’t like your job. Good luck to you all. Remember to Believe – just focus on what you want and you’ll get it. Even if that focus changes again in a yr or two, it’s that nature of our personalities so just accept it and go with the flow

Hey fellow Sags! I must have read all the comments and it was such a relief. I felt that if all of us were put on a deserted island, we would have a fully running economy (Sag Island?) in no time because of all our experience! I’m 29, and have been in the military, retail (Sporting goods/Home improvement), restaurant, and most recently Life Insurance broker. I’m about to graduate (hopefully) with a finance degree and on track to be a personal financial adviser. Right now, I like my job because of the freedoms that come with it. However, I’m not making as much money as I thought I would have made by now, which is a bit disappointing. But, I do get to help people (a plus) and the potential to earn 6 figures (plus plus) is there. Anyone looking for a career change, look into life/health insurance. Start up costs are a pain, and it takes a little while to get going (1 to 2 years). But, I see the success it brings everyday with my co-workers (avg car driven to work $80k) in such a short amount of time. With that in mind, I’ll update every few months. Good luck to everyone on finding new careers and stimulating the brain that is never satisfied

We are all so alike, we have the same interests in career choices and we get very bored very easily. Not a big surprise. We need constant stimulation or we get bored right away. We hate monotony and love to travel.
The reason we cant stick to just one field is….we are learners, we are in constant search for wisdom, knowledge, and truth. For us, there is no ‘being done’ with learning and see how the archer has the bow aiming high in the sky? well, thats what we do. we have super high expectations for ourselves and others and we thoroughly enjoy the journey of our quest for knowledge more so than the achievement itself. We like the chase, the journey….not so much the prize.

Wow. I have been looking for some kind of sign…asking every person I meet..trying to find an answer to what step I should take next. I am 23 years old and I have been in college for 5 years already, with no degree yet. I started off as a declared pre-nursing major..but was not 100% driven (not sure if nursing was for me). I had to make a quick decision to switch majors, I randomly chose nutrition. I like helping people and like the person to person contact (not the behind the scenes or desk job). I read so many of these comments and can’t help but be amazed in how similar the stories are. We may all be here for answers as to what we are meant to do…but still no answers and we are still trying to figure out what career is the right fit. I like working with children and I like the health field…I like music (film scores), photography and journalism/documenting events..I like arts and crafts…teaching..learning..and above all else..TRAVELING! My family do not like me talking about what it is I really feel driven to do and that is to travel to other countries (USA is ok…but want to travel to more poverty stricken areas) and help aid children who are suffering from malnutrition or obesity. I want to teach them anything, that will benefit them in their life…give them hope and bring them happiness…give them the chance to live their childhood years as children while they can. But I want to be able to have a place to call my home as well…to one day have a stable career and support my family along with a husband who likes to travel with me and our children. I know that this is a lot to ask for…but I find myself anxious …stuck..in this limbo..at college not doing even close to as well as I was..now not driven and wishing to travel somewhere else and leaving all behind, in hope that I will find the answer elsewhere..through new experience. But ppl keep telling me…be patient..u need the tools first. I finally have the best friends and I am grateful for the family I have and the experience I have been given…but I want more. Do u feel the same? I know that we are all individuals and have something special that we are passionate about…but we just are not sure how to go about pursuing it..or that it may not pay much…or doesn’t agree with our family, religion, background, or something. I would like to hear from some older Sags..see how far they have come and wut advice they would give to Sags…still starting out and trying to chose a path at this fork in the road. I personally want to stop being so distracted and indecisive! Thing is..I want to be good at doing many things..yet I can’t even stick to what ever I start…at least enough to say that I have mastered it. I feel like I just need a goOd kick in the butt…Maybe if some of us collaborated…had a SAG..Network..we could help each other find the thing we are hoping to be our career/life passion match. If you have any genuine/helpful/”constructive” criticism please email me at celestialarcher7@gmail.com P.s sorry for the life long story..

Hahaha oh my this is super amazing. Like all of you others I honestly thought it was only me.
I would love to learn five languages , travel all my days and meet heaps of lovely interesting new people on my journeys! But what sort of well paid job has this in it? I have so much trouble making decisions and I’m making hole in the ears on my poor mother that has to listen to all my different alternatives all the time, haha… I can’t even decide where to travel next, what if I make the wrong decision , what if I would have a greater experience somewhere else?
any ideas? Haha… I love being a Sagittarius though, I’m super creative and loves to write, making music and paint, I’m followed by luck and have a lot of ( sometimes weird ) ideas. I’m also optimistic and uncurably curius… Good to see that we are so many! Good luck all of you! <3
I have been into music, journalism , and studied engineering for a year before I came to the conclusion it was not for me. I am very idealistic and have colossal dreams and ambitions and I feel it is very important that I go in the right direction when it comes to education and my future career so I don’t regret it later… I have always had a dream of opening my own small hotel, where all the guest get to know each other and where the atmosphere is great! I have always loved people and to make others feel comfortable and to help them with decisions ( ! Since I can’t make my own) and now I’m thinking of physiology or behavioural sience but I’m afraid it will not be stimulating enough once working even though the subjects are interesting. I also think its important with having a job that gives money and thought about medicine or business but I’m afraid I would feel to bored and trapped as a doctor or in an office
I also can’t stand fake and false people and I think it’s important to always be true and honest. Sooo… Business or sales is maybe not the right field for me?? Where’s the perfect job that is always changing, offers opportunities to travel a lot , where I can meet and work with great and honest people?

Hello everyone.
I am actually pursuing that idea at the moment – trying to get into my country’s school of Journalism. If I don’t succeed at that I might pursue something in music
I can totally see where you’re coming from in regards to the part about not being sure whether it will be stimulating enough once working. But if you choose something in journalism you will be able to delve into loads of different subjects and themes and so on and thereby ensuring that it won’t get as boring as a desk job…(at least that is what I tell myself)
/rant is now over.
Not to be repetitive, but I cannot believe that everyone here seems to share the same “confusion” – or just plain love of learning and exploring every little interesting thing in the world. It is fantastic.
I am exactly the same, and while I so love learning and expanding my mind and all of that, I am so frustrated with my inability to stay focused or interested in one field. I get so restless – and the people I care about truly cannot keep up or even begin to understand why I am not “mature” enough to stay at one thing and just stick it out. Haha. Well, I think it’s a quality to stay curious but in this world it seems a better fit to find one subject and commit to that. Sadly.
@Hannah (right above) – I would suggest something in tourism or journalism as you seem to be quite keen on travel and even mention that you write! Those two might get you those new encounters and horizons
Happy 2013 everyone! May your dreams come true.

I’m a sag, 21 years old, and I don’t know what to do with my life. This past year I literally jumped from job to job because I didn’t feel like it was a right fit for me. I hate that I don’t know what I want in life. I don’t want others to view me as indecisive or flaky. I wanted to become a speech pathologist for the longest time (became intimidated) then accounting (SOOO BORING) now I’m interested in Human Resources (but I’m not sure). I want to help and interact with people, and at the same time, I need a stable job that pays well enough so that I may live comfortably. On top of that, I need to find something that I’m PASSIONATE about. I hate repetitive, “going through the motions” type of work. I just don’t know what to do :/

I’m a 19 yr old sag and currently studying hotel management. I have only been studying it for a a year but already getting bored, I want a job where I am travelling but also helping others and making a difference. This week I am planning to volunteer with the SES (State Emergency Service) and can’t wait to do something exciting!!! After finishing hotel management I want to be an explorer, getting lost in the Amazon or the Himalayas, or Peru.
My parents are too strict and I feel caged, I would love to just be able to drop everything and just “live”. Life is so stressful, wish everybody would just forget about money and be happy.
I loved reading everybody’s responses, imagine a party where only sags were invited! Imagine all the stories to be told..

Another lost young sag. I’m 19 and wanting to get the ball rolling with the whole college thing, but I don’t know where to start or which way to go. I don’t believe I have any real talent or skill for anything, but I don’t wanna spend my life going from one mundane job to another. There’s careers I have in mind but I already know I don’t have a strong interest in them. Becoming a Veterinarian has alwayz held some interest with me, but I hear it’s very competitive, and what if I’m not good enough? What happens if I try and fail?? I’m not much of a risktaker when it comes to important life decisions, so I’m terrified to even try. Advice??

Hello Everyone, I am glad that we all here are sharing our thoughts which will help us make a better decision.
we all agree that we get bored easy, we like change , we like people and we like to travel and explore. So we like different things at the same time which makes us undecisive and confused.
2 Steps that I think might help:
1. Narrow it down to one thing that you like the most.(for example, I like traveling more than reading books)
2. Pursuit it
It s not that easy, but it s worth to try it. Never settle for a job you hate. Life is meant to live it so let s do this the smart way. changing jobs until we find what we like is not very effective in my opinion , especially when we have kids.
we got to learn to be patient.
For all the nurses here, I respect what you do. You can always be a nurse and at the same time plan to travel more frequently to balance it out.
Over all we can t get away from routine, we have to make it exiting so we will be able to perform and succeed.
Let s pick a job that is the closest to our personality and spice it up with other activities inside or outside the job to make it interesting for us.
Thank you again
live laugh and love

wow, such interesting comments,
)- am thinking of leaving now- been baking and decorating cakes and cupcakes in my spare time,- interesting , also love photography and photo editing, – dont think i could ever do nursing, sorry- i know this will sound odd, but right now I just want to be a mom for a little bit- been working long hours all these years I have missed out on my kid’s childhood-
I am a 36yr old mom of 2 boys, i have studied travel and tourism, but worked in retail as a cashier and receptionist of all things (it was 1 of the best jobs i ever had, no kids then) but so much of fun, i then worked for an import company in admin, hated the boring company , moved to a magazine company as a researcher, which was dead boring, then moved to a music company as a royalties administrator, it was great cos it was a new industry and lots to learn- meeting new people, but had to leave after my 2nd son was born, – was called back to another music company to work in the publishing section and if I didnt need the money, I would have walked out the first day- its sooooooo boring, hate desk job (wanted to be an archeologist

I’m currently in B-School and freaking out because I have no idea what I want to do and absolutely despise the corporate world for so many reasons. All I’ve ever wanted to do was help people and finished my undergrad in psych thinking I’d go into child services of some sort… then I realized I couldn’t make the kind of money I’d like to make in the future. Now I’m totally lost and going through the motions like I’m “supposed to”, bored out of my mind and so uneasy about my future. I didn’t realize it was a Sag thing but now knowing we’re all in the same boat only freaks me out more! If only I had been born 3 days earlier… FML, lol.

I’m 17 years old this year and I’m totally agree that Sagittarius is too good on one thing, they easy to learn the new things and they bored easily.=.=’
I’m an intellectual type and a sporty type Sagittarius (I born on 24 Nov).
I’m going for M.D degree(or specialized as a surgeon) with taking Chinese or Japanese as a minor language.. And, I will continue my journey with martial arts(I will continue in Taekwondo or maybe start with a new martial arts) or any extreme and challenging sports.
See, I can’t land on one aspects. I never though we are getting bored easily. And, it’s hard for me since my siblings questioning me how can I managed all of that in the future. I’m a great risk takers, have many aim, loves challenges and work best in pressure. So, I believe I can do it!
