Sagittarians are the intellectual type. It’s easy for them to learn about new things. Thus, they can get bored easily. They’re the adventurous people who are not afraid of taking risks. It won’t be a surprise for this person to switch jobs everytime they see fit (meaning when they get tired of the what they’re doing which can happen all the time or until they find the perfect job for them). The archer is known to aim for high goals but no matter how much they make or how high the position is, if they feel they’re getting caged in they will look for something else. Below is a brief explanation and tips of what you can do If you’re a Sagittarian and are unhappy of your current career (or finding it hard to figure out what your next career move is) or if you work with a Sagittarian and would like to improve your work relations with him/her.
Figure out what you are good at and what you love doing.
Because a Sagittarian has a lot of interests they also have a lot of big ideas and they are very optimistic about these. They won’t mind investing all the time and resources they have for a certain project. A lot of Sagittarians are entreprenuers so they get into their own businesses and most of them succeed on this. Having a good grasp of the bigger picture might also help them be good managers. They see the big picture and then share it with the team so they can work on it. It won’t be hard as Sagittarians are natural born teachers. They are good at interacting with people and they have the patience to explain their ideas to them. That being said, Sagittarians can also be teachers and writers. The archer loves challenges. He wouldn’t mind a bit of pressure (as a matter of fact, he is good under pressure) because he likes finishing things he already started. He is very active and also love the out-doors so a career in sports, travel or tourism might be suitable.
To sum that up, the more active Sagittarians lean on sports and traveling/tourism, where they can meet people and move around a lot. On the other hand, the more intellectual types can go for more intellectual professions as trading, law and business.
Sagittarians as a boss.
Generally, Sagittarian bosses are easy to get along with. They are very generous when giving bonuses or a raise specially with employees who they know are working well. They can also be generous with time or deadlines and are very reasonable … most of the times. So if you’re having a hard time keeping up with the deadline he might just cut you some slack provided you have acceptable reasons. One bad side about a Sagittarian boss is that he can be stubborn and change his mind a lot. Specially when he gets one of his big ideas.
Sagittarians as an employee.
Sagittarians love being with people and working with people. He’s a very good team player. Being always happy and optimistic he will serve as an inspiration or a morale booster for his fellow employees.
Some of the careers or prefessional fields that a Sagittarian could consider are: Entrepreneur, Teacher/Professor, Lawyer, Sales and Marketing, Writer/Journalist, Public Relations, Trader, Sports Instructor, Athlete, Travel Agent, Tourism related fields.
I thinking about lawyer…. I guess I’m safe cause each new case presents a new challenge so it may be hard to get bored …
Browsing through some of these posts, I am glad to know as a sagittarius, I am not alone with the different possibilities that we can explore. I have so many things running through my head on what I think I wanna do, but I’m just so undecided. I’ve worked factory jobs all my life and I’m tired of it. I need something that’s gonna keep me busy as well beneficial to my life. I feel that this is my opportunity in life to go to school n make a better living for me n my two kids. I think I’m gonna try nursing and maybe use my skills and travel with it. I wanna explore so much of the world but I also wanna make good money doing so. I’m 34 and I think this is my time to make moves. We saggs are quick learners so whatever we put out mind to doing, we never quit. I just pray that whatever it is we decide to do, guides us to a better n more fulfilling life.
The answer is in the law.
I am a sag and I am an attorney (practicing solo). Without a boss over my head I can choose to accept only those cases that really interest me while keep myself as busy as I need.
Wow, am so relieved, am a sag too, I thought I was alone wondering about my kind of life. Not sure of what careerer to pursue, I’ve a bachelor degree in educational psychology, guidance and counselling and political science, I also started a post graduate diploma in international affairs which I didn’t complete, I’ve learnt other crafts like braiding hairs, bags, dresses etc, but am still not fulfilled. Please help fellow sag
It’s funny because I am a scorpio, but I’m at the 2nd to last day of Scorpio right before Sagittarius begins. I just realized that I have a lot of Sagittarius traits, I am even going through the multiple changing careers thing as well, actually recently just dropped everything to study law. I am thinking of becoming an entertainment lawyer or even criminal lawyer or at least a paralegal if possible or maybe even a cop.
My plan is pretty simple. I’m starting college as a basic mental health professional. After a year 1/2, 2 years I’m entering the military in the same field as my degree but as an officer. I will continue to have them pay for my college so I can become a psychologist. I want to give people my advice, being a sag known as the “philosophers” I know its something I’m good at. When I leave the military I will have graduated college and I’ll work alongside a psychiatrist and decide whether thats something I want to be. After saving up so much money, I will start going to school part time to become a federal zoologist considering i LOVE animals and naturous adventures. Its a lot to learn but I like learning. After I get that degree and do simple zoo tasks or rescues, I will put my name out into the media for fame that way I find someone to sponser me to travel the world like steve irwin. It’s a mixture of adventure, change, learning, animals, traveling, sharing ideas and discoveries, becoming rich and famous. Everything I love. The mental health/psychology degree will not go to waste because I will have knowledge to help people I care about like my children with relationship advice or keep all my own personal relationships healthy.
I am a Sag! Serving in the miltary, especially the Air Force, was great (26 years)! Also, great jobs for Sags are: computer programming and database analysts! That is what I do! Look in google (search engine) for Ada Lovelace and Grace Hopper.
I am 27 and I am completely lost in what I would like to divas a career. I really need help because everything seems boring and not exciting at all.
Hi guys. Im 24. Been in warehousing and logistics for about 7 years out of school. Sssooo boring, wana travel or sumthng for a job. Plz help soo lost. I dont think i’ll even find my “perfect career” being a saggi is hard some times.
All these post are up lifting tho thanks guys and gals
I’m a double Sag, sun and rising in Sagittarius. Funny part is, I have moon in Cancer and those are the qualities I exhibit most. Trying very hard to be a profitable trader, as I love the intellectual challenge. Point is, get a natal chart for yourself and you might be surprised by what you find.
This is crazy. I’m 19 yrs old and its crazy we all similar. I thought about nursing, air force, teaching, law enforcement, psychologists. I don’t like sitting in one spot like that. I like to learn something everyday to expand my mind.
Hey sags.am happy to find people like me..am 20yrs born on 16th dec. Am pursuing a bachelors degree in commerce specified in finance and banking then major in banking law and I think am happy with that choice (for now)
Am like most of you but shy..i love being around people yet love peace and quiet but I learnt to love myself the way I am. Am happy to tears to find you guys…
Hi,
I am 29, a sag, from Inndia. And being a sag in India is really a bad idea. Here, 22-23 is the first, last and only age when one is supposed to make career choices. I have changed my career decisions thrice since then. I was into agriculture, then management, then corporate training. I quit my supposedly wonderful job last month and I am sitting at home now trying to decide which career to choose. Nt have wildlife sciences, naturopathy, travel journalsim and human psychology in mind. I also write a lot, play a little violin, paint a little, do a bit of gardening. I really do love doing so many things that my folks have started thinking of me as a loser. Lol. Now after reading this article, I have every mind to buy a harp and start playing it. 😀 Seriously, help!
Hi sags,
ma name is nisha and im 22…….evn im in a emergency condition dat i cannot chose a perfect career..done ma bachelors in maths n pg in social work and psychology…..again i feel i shud learn..and funniest part is,learn rythn under dis sun except de computers..soooo boringggg….but ma mom is in hr blues tellin, ‘u have 2 work’……and i dnt ask u guys 4 a solutn cos v knw v cant evn decide our own careers..lol…lets jus tk a back pack and try all kinds of jobs wit al travellin,,,,and,,,,.also good food….
Bt i knw hw t feels wn othrs r having dier perfect career and v dnt.
Enjoy being a stupid sag …..(which s our secret :p) and prove our intelligence 2 othrs…………try rythn n life…
Sag female. I’ve had a few jobs over time but I love to travel and fell in luv with photography, so I work in a office helping ppl and freelance. That keeps me from being bored.
I finally have a clue. I’m going to do a little bit of everything. I didn’t want a standard job anyway. I’ve been a teacher for 14 years and can’t stand it anymore. Loved the kids, hated the adults and the paperwork. I can cook a few things really well and sell them. I can have an online store or two. I can write. I have ideas for an online money maker, but I have to learn programming first. I have ideas for restaurant/entertainment businesses, but I’ll need some business/accounting knowledge. Thanks for all the ideas
I am 28 and have had over 50 jobs. I often detect crime and or corruption and yes I have the wherewithal to raise questions or make reports. After attaining wisdom, I now know that I must stay silent to steer clear of retaliation. I am a truth seeker at heart. I am an active learner and seeker of experiences. I have so many majors and two certificates. I learn the core of the job or subject and get to the heart of the matter, to then be like, “Ok, what now..what next?” I think it becomes a matter of having a mystery and or a puzzle to solve, along with surprise elements. Reporter, Law Enforcer, Writer/Seeker, and Traveling Sales are a few suggestions. I currently am a Security Guard and a MOD/Audit at a hotel.
I just went with the bucket list. From very young I knew I got bored with things. I joined the military when I was 17 , did 11 years and had my two daughters. I then became a corporate singer for 10 years. I did aid work overseas. Then became a body guard for the rich ..interesting. I then decided I wanted to be a loadie at the airport; reversing the planes out etc. Loved that :).. I always dreamed of riding racehorses so I became a track rider for a while. Then went back to military on contract and now a decided that I want to do a degree in science. Haven’t decided what I want to major in but I’ve made it through chemistry lol. That was funny cause I never passed math and had to do extra study for that. I have rescued 4 horses and the truth is I just want to work with horses. Not a lot of money in that at this stage. Might do equine science or animal science. Or maybe I’ll join the police lol never no …love being a sag
Wow this is amazing, I can’t believe so many sags are the same. I’m 19 in college and lately been feeling frustrating on what I want to do. Something keeps telling me to join the Air Force as an officer after I get my degree so I hope to pursue that.
i m a sagi and i just quit my job because of my nagging supervisors and managers. Vowed not to work as an employee in a BPO company ever. Planning to set up my own business,
bpo sector is not for saggitarius where they are only concerned about productivity and targets so they can please their clients
It’s good to know that this feeling if having too many interests and not being able to decide on a career afflicts so many of us! It makes me hopeful that I can find my own path and make my own choices!
OMG!!!! I have found my people:) Let’s see it only took 36 years!! #lost and found
I too am Sag. I am 48 and am finishing up a Library Technician course. This will be my second Degree from college. First was Food and Beverage Mgmt. Heart condition puts limits on what can be done (pacemaker since I was 35). I thought working in a library would be great because I enjoy reading and learning things. One thing I have really noticed on this page is the spelling and grammatical errors of just about everyone that has written. Is that anal or what, just checked all the errors. Maybe working for an editing department should be my next job.
I’m currently a Security Officer… I’ve been in security for the last 6 years and military 2 years before that…. I’m really getting sick of work… The pay is shit and the adventure is nill… I want something new, something different.
I’m Sag myself and I’m bored with my job already, been there for one year already working in the Medical Records dept facility. What get’s me is that I’m doing same routine 5 days out of the week, filing the same paper work 8 hours a day on a computer, talk about boring. (sign) I’m ready for something else, but yet haven’t decided what to do. But I know for one thing is to get out of the Medical field, I’ve been working for 10 plus years doing different types of jobs and I think I’m just ready for a big change. I was taking college class on line in web design which was really fun, but ended up struggling in some of the classes like Adobe, Flash Player and Dream weaver. Let alone the coding was like wow…..What was difficult was trying to teach myself a person with no knowledge. But what I like was being able to design… Maybe I’ll just head back and finish… it was a lot of fun found the classes to be very challenging. But for the mean time I need to find another job that has more to offer then sitting at a desk all day long staring at a computer..
Thanks for your marvelous posting! I definitely enjoyed reading it, you are a great author.I will be sure to bookmark
your blog and will come back someday. I want to encourage you to definitely continue
your great job, have a nice evening!
Excellent post. I wull be dealing with mahy of these issues as well..
My brother recommended I might like this web site. He was entirely right.
This post actually made my day. You cann’t imagine simply how
much time I had spent for this information! Thanks!
Woahhh!!!! Seems like I found my long lost family and blood relatives!!! 😀
I’m 21 and jobless. I took Journalism in college (not my choice) and graduated with honors but I don’t want a career in writing.
Decided to take up law (again someone forced me to do so) , only lasted for one semester, found it boring. Sitting in a desk reading all day wasn’t exactly appealing to me. LOL
Worked in an office for a year and didn’t always show up for work. Now looking for a new one but I don’t know what job I should choose!!!!
I love music especially singing. I play guitar, love to dance and read. I love to travel and be just like a little kid. I also happen to love cartoons and I’m a Disney lover. Hooray for Sagittarius Walt Disney!! Maybe that’s why Sags like us always love Disney so much haha 😀
I’m thinking of taking up professional singing classes or go study another degree in Music or Languages. I’m self studying Korean but got plans to take actual Korean language classes.
Recently I’d like to try baking or cooking. And have been diving my head into diary writing and compulsive book buying.
Korea’s my dream place before and now I changed my mind and wanted to explore and live in Europe. Yet I still wanted to go back to university and study something I actually love.
I’ll be turning 22 a few months later and I still don’t know what the heck I should do with my life!!! Help!!!!

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave
it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go
back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!

I just got promoted to a secretarial position and I am scared to death of failing, but I know I will learn a lot. I have always kept a job and in my mid twenties got a stable job with benefits. Since I was a child I have wanted to be a nurse and love the keyboard as well. I am not very good in math, but was in account payable and in banking for 10 years. Then I became a records clerk, it has been the most depressing job, I have even cried, thinking what I do has no purpose, I’m just shuffling paper all day long , but it was a job with good benefits and it paid the bills. I am pursuing a nursing degree because it is a steady job and you can be a nurse pretty much anywhere in the world.
I did have doubts about becoming a nurse, but I said to myself, time is ticking and I needed to make a decision and stick to it, otherwise, you will just be floating around going nowhere. So I have decided on Nursing period. I understand the hours and chaos of being a nurse, but it pays well and it can be rewarding. In the meantime, I will still have to do an awesome job of being a secretary and promote within the organization. Never wait for things to happen, make them happen.
I’m only 20 and I have no idea what the hell I’m going to do… I’m so lost gosh.. It’s hard to decide especially when people keep asking what I want in life and I haven’t figured it out yet.. last year I did photography, it was fun but in the end i got bored of it. sigh
I blog often and I seriously appreciate your content.
Your article has really peaked my interest. I’m going to
take a note of your blog and keep checking for new details about once a week.
I subscribed to your Feed as well.
I’m a millennium generation Sagittarius, so I grew up in the technology boom. I jumped on the band wagon at 10 years old to learn how to program and repair computers. I went to college and earned an associate degree in Computer Science and a bachelor degree in Computer Programming. I work in Healthcare Information Technology, and I love it. The pay is awesome, and I get to travel to different hospitals all over the world. I’m married with one child. My husband is a mechanical engineer (Scorpio). We both do contract work all over the world and our child stays with me most of the time since I’m still breastfeeding. We’re such a power couple. I love that I’m am African American woman who’s taking advantage of opportunities that may have never been present when my grandparents and ancestors where my age!
Great article. I am a Sag. studying law with an emphasis in Social Justice and Litigation. My concern is that I can be very direct in my actions which may prove to be a handicap in the legal system or may be of benefit. I have heard that practically, this profession requires maneuvering and the ability of deception. I am an INTJ with my Strengthquest top strength being Strategy.
Hi there, its fastidious piece of writing about
media print, we all be familiar with media is a fantastic source of data.
so funny we ALL sound so much alike lol went first from healthcare to engineering to finally business-i’m much happier with my career path now than before
good luck to all my fellow sag’s!
😀 sending love and light
Good to know I’m not the only one with this feeling. I’ve had 16 jobs. I left my last corporate job because I was bored. I wanted to quit my last job 3 mths in, but held it for more than 4 years. It helped pay my bills. Anyway, I notice that I get bored with the environment, and I was not being able to meet new ppl. I currently volunteer as a English tutor. I get to meet new ppl, and have freedom to move around in class and design the learning material. The only downside is its unpaid, and that the teaching industry is casualised. I like my freedom and meeting new ppl, but I need to balance my reality of bills etc, take care of my family, and finding work that doesn’t box me is challenging. The moment I think of doing something new I get tied to the reality of my life that I may not be able do what I want to do.
Anyway, I hope that I will find out it is that I am here to do soon. I’m currently unemployed.
don’t do nurses sags..um one..boring! maybe try public health so that u can travel while helping peple..otherwise try arts! they are colourful..cooking, fashion designing etc and use those for a good purpose so that u can feel important too..lots of charity will do
I’m going for architecture. However, I was wavering on that or interior design for the longessstttt. Finally knowing what I want to do has relieved so much stress. Lol. Planning on going to Chicago for my schooling next year. Much love fellow sags.????????????
It’s so funny how much we’re alike. I am so bored of my job, I moved so many jobs and recently moved a new dept for 1 day and I already got bored. It’s really tough not knowing what to do it. I needs something exciting but I dont know what it is! Hellllllllllllllppp!!!
I am a sag, 29 years old, leaving my current wholesale job. I have been changing jobs as well. I don”t know what to do and where to go. I want to be independent, but without a secured career is very hard. Nice to find your guys, and good to know I am not a freak or loser, just a complicated and special sag.
Hey, my birthday is 4th of Dec. Regarding most of we sagi love travelling and meanwhile making money. I suggest the native English speaker can go to teach English abroad through all sort of countries, especially Asian. Good luck! The reason I say so, besause I am a Chinese and I know a lot cities in China recruiting Native English speaker, about 2000 pounds per month salary with free accommodation and other benefits. I don’t have this chance, Mandarin native speaker is not so popular and easy to travel the world and make good living profits. I am looking for my career, and thinking it’s may relate to art somehow I guess. Believe me, I pray the God and even Buddha to help me, and wish soon my answer comes out naturally. 😉 Good luck to us.
I love all of you. Reading these makes me feel good about being a Sag. We are passionate in so many directions and are capable of succeeding in a lot of different roles. I have a B.A. in Anthropology and am now going for a Masters in Nursing. I served two years as an AmeriCorps VISTA member and Leader. I’ve done a bit of everything, and I think my “where” will always change– and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Peace.Love.Sag.
